Important Note – Before you Send us an Email or Engage in a Conversation with Us

We have built one of the most privacy-preserving solutions. We are very serious about your personal data and your data privacy – we do not need any of your personal details to solve most problems. Below is a brief note on some do’s and don’ts while interacting with us. In case you share any of the minimal data points we have called out below, they will be thoroughly governed by our Privacy Policy.

Digi Yatra Process and Privacy

The Digi Yatra Process does not create any user profile on the backend and has no personal details of yours to support from the backend. The Digi Yatra Journey is privacy-preserving, with the complete flow initiating and finishing on your phone. You are always in full control of your data. While sending issues and queries, we request you to not share any personal details (Sharing Aadhaar Copies or Aadhaar Numbers is a BIG NO!) – we do not need it, as it will not help in resolving your issues. For the majority of scenarios, we would just need your name (as saved in the Digi Yatra App) and your boarding pass QR/Bar Code – that too only if issues are tricky (e.g., related to name mismatch and boarding pass not getting uploaded or similar ones).

Issues Related to Failures at Airport

In case issues are related to failures at the airport, we request you to reach out to airport teams. However, if you still want to reach out to us, please write to us with your flight number, PNR, and date of travel to take it up with the respective airport, and only if the issue is raised within 24 hours of flight departure. As you are aware, as per policy, the Airport Operator deletes everything from their systems within 24 hours, and we will not be able to trace back the issue for resolution.

Phone Number and Device Information

You can choose to share your phone number, or in some cases, our team might request you to share the phone number for tricky issues where our tech team needs to connect with you for understanding the issue and providing faster resolution.
Sometimes, issues can be device-specific – in such cases, we might ask you to share your phone model/OS versions, which you can choose to share or not.

Opting Out

In case you are not happy with our services and wish to opt-out, you can do so by simply deleting the VC on your phone (Video link) or by simply uninstalling the App. Once that is done, there is no need to request us to delete the data from the server. YES! You read it right – there is no such requirement. With Digi Yatra, you are the boss of your data – and it always and ONLY remains on your phone (be it credentials or your travel history), until you share it with the origin airport for travel facilitation – where it is again automatically deleted within 24 hours of flight departure! So, once you delete or uninstall, it’s gone forever from everywhere as it was nowhere but only on your phone!
